Just what does SEO mean? Here’s a definition from sempo.org.

SEO – Acronym for “Search Engine Optimization.” This is the process of editing a web site’s content and code in order to improve visibility within one or more search engines. When this term is used to describe an individual, it stands for “Search Engine Optimizer” or one who performs SEO.

Now with that out of the way, what does Search Engine Optimization mean to you?  In a word, “Site Visibility” the purpose of your site is to be seen by potential customers, whether you’re selling a service or product you need visibility and a lot of it. They can’t find you if they don’t know you’re there.

In 2005, over 70% of the population used the internet and spent 143 billion dollars in the process. And most (over 80%) used a search engine to find a site that would fill there particular needs.

Experience has shown that search engine traffic can make (or break) an organization’s success, with a well optimized site you can target visitors that have a need for you’re product or service.
